I still find it entertaining but its like a combination of cheesy nature show and fear factor. Survivorman for people with no attention span. Seems like half of the fans just watch the show to see the weird *beep* Bear will eat next.... like a circus performer biting the heads off of chickens.

Understandable that it would hold no appeal for someone with no interest in going far from indoor plumbing

My least favorite thing about this show is seeing him kill live animals and eat them. I find it morally shady to just kill wild animals and eat them simply to produce a show.

I watch because I am generally interested in his advice, even though I'd never find myself in a situation to use it, it's still pretty interesting to know! I also really enjoy the scenery of some of the places he visits. As well as the animals he finds, that he doesn't eat anyway. :)

But you are fine with the hundreds of individual animals that you have probably eaten in your life that have been killed?

Seriously dude, its nature. It Bear didnt do it some other animal would.

you are the reason we raise animals in masses, squeezing them in smallest barns, pump them up with all kinds of chemicals, just for you being able to buy a cheap steak in the mall and you are complaining about a wild animal being killed for food???
You know, as long bear eats frogs in the wild, he doesnt eat a poor piece of chicken which had never seen the daylight in its short life.

If anyone did the things he does in the wild, they would be dead very soon. If you want survival training, watch Dual Survival or Survivorman. this show is entertainment, and that is all

When I read the thread title, I was going to suggest you watch Surivorman instead, but I see you already familiar with it :)

It has educational value but simple minded folk such as yourself don't see past the "weird *beep* Bear will eat next" so then you ignorantly assume that is what the show is all about. I mean he also goes into the plant life of that area. He explains how to build shelter. Knows about climatology, geology, etc. I watch it for that value but your narrow minded assumption it is all about stupid *beep* like that is quite simplistic.
