Is there a possibility Light actually loved Misa?

I don't think Light was really capable of love. He became so obsessed with creating his new world he only knew how to pretend to love in order to manipulate to achieve his goals.

I think he did on some level, but his real passion was his project to remake the world, and Misa was largely a tool in that. But, still, he could have gotten rid of Misa at a certain point, after Rem died for example, and he chose not to.

I kept hoping that he actually did. They would have made such a cute couple!

No there isn't. He is incapable of love. As others have said he was too focused on making his new world to focus on any relationship. He kept Misa around because she benefitted him by having the eyes. He didn't just kill her off when she gave up her book because that would have been too suspicious.

No, but I sure as *beep* would've. Misa is a babe.
