Any other anime of this quality?
Watched it and absolutely loved it.
Can somebody suggest me any other anime like this, with few episodes (30-50, not 300+ like naruto or smth).

Depending on your taste, I LOVE Darker Than Black (the first season, that is - but there were only two of them), Cowboy Bebop (of course), Trigun.
The Twelve Kingdoms ran for something like 47 episodes. It's a bit longer, but it's wonderful and has some awesome characters.
Samurai Champloo was good too.
Bebop, Trigun and Champloo all ended at 26 episodes. Great stories and amazing characters as well.
I too am childish and hate to lose.

thanks for the suggestion.
I started Darker than Black and Cowboy Bebop. both of them look like an episodic anime. story starts and ends inside an episode. not really what I like, but cowboy bebop had something special, so i'm watching it hoping for an overall story to unfold.
well whoever is comparing Cowboy Bebop with Code Geass or Death Note aren't all that bright, I guess.
Code Geass and Death Note are intelligent animes, whereas Cowboy Bebop is just a timepass bounty hunter series, which is one story per episode, I've seen two episodes and I think Imma pass!
I would rather go for The Alchimist: Brotherhood than Cowboy Bebop as at least there's a story in brotherhood..
I will try Monster and see if it's par to Death Note or Code Geass.
Actually, there IS an overarching story, or at least themes in Cowboy Bebop. It's basically about "Spike's karma" as the director/creator termed it. It's also about a group of people thrown together out of necessity and other reasons who are coming to terms with events/situations from their past, finding resolution and moving forward (as the case may be).
There are only 5 episodes that deal with Spike's story, but the themes and the characters and what they deal with and HOW they deal with it are what it's "about."
But yeah, it's not a continuous plot line advancing with each episode from beginning to end like Death Note.
I always recommend Tiger & Bunny - it's fairly recent and it was recently dubbed, so it should be accessible to all.
Three... two... one... Tiger & Bunny Over and Out.

There is a few really good things out there.
Baccano! only has 16 episodes, but I can recommend. Really good plot, although confusing at first.
Fullmtal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are both incredible (51 and 64 episodes respectively)- they are independent of each other.
Last Exile is a must, and a second season of it is being aired at the moment.
I would also recommend Eureka 7 and Blood +- I think if you liked Death Note, chances are you will like those two as well.
Hmhmhm, what else. Code Geass? 2 seasons, 52 episodes all together. The first season in particular is really good.
I can think of a few more, but those are a few that I think would be worth starting with.
Welcome To NHK is the best anime series
shareGhost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Cowboy Bebop
I suggest FullMetal Alchemist:Brotherhood :)
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
shareif you want a anime series which is equal to the quality of deathnote try "Monster".
its one of my favourite anime series.
Kenzou Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon in Germany, had it all: incredible skill at his work, a rich and beautiful fiancee, and a promising career at his hospital. However, after becoming disenchanted by hospital politics, he chose to save the life of a young boy who got shot in the head over the life of the mayor. As a result he lost the support of the hospital director, as well as his position in the hospital and his fiance. A short time later, the hospital director and the doctors that replaced him were murdered, and once again he was catapulted back onto the top. But as the chief suspect of the murders, Tenma did not get a easy life. As a matter of fact, it seems that the boy he saved was much more than he had appeared to be... Now to clear his name and to correct his past mistake, Tenma must get to the bottom of these and other murders, and investigate the truth of the Monster who is behind all of this

it has brutally well developed charakters and nearly every episode has a twist in it which gives you goosebums... i can highly recommend that show, blew me off my feet with an absolutly perfect ending.
theres also a trailer here on imdb:

Check out Code Geass, it's often compared to death note, but has the best ending ever.
50 episodes without filler.
Kôdo giasu: Hangyaku no rurûshu
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0994314/
Also check out Steins;Gate(24 ep), it's from 2011, starts a bit slow but gets more and more amazing over time, I would compare it to butterfly effect for some reason..

They added John titor to the storyline, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor, amazing!
How is code geass compared to death note? I haven't seen either, but as far as i can tell geass is a mech anime and death note is about a boy who kills people by writing their name in a notebook, right? Is it just because they're both high quality anime?
shareBecause in both animes main characters try to change the world in their own way (using special powers) & both are smart and they are challenged by powerful enemies
This, being an anime enthusiastic I can say that I haven't seen anythign as close to death note as Code Geass, I even like Code Geass better and yes, while Death Note conclusion wasn't much, Code Geass has the best ending ever
