This film is what Show me love would have been if it was darker

the same kind of storyline apart from the friend
Loner girl who is gay falls in love with the popular girl

But show me love aka *beep* amal is far more upbeat and has the uplifting ending
This is far more the darker cousin of what show me love would have been if it was to go to the dark side.

If anyone has seen Show me love would you agree?

I've seen both and loved them both but I didn't think they were that similar.

I just watched both of these movies recently and Show Me Love did kinda remind me of this. Mainly the popular girl bonding with the outcast theme. I feel they both were pretty gritty and dark but Show Me Love did have lighter moments and a happier ending. I don't think the inexperienced one in Water Lilies was gay though. The WL girls bond seemed different then the SML girls relationship.
