This ought to make a great chick flick. I'm a little worried that this will come and go like a sneeze, the way the adaption of James Patterson's "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" did. I think this is a far superior story to that one and I hope it will scare up sales of the book, as the book is, despite it's rank sentimentality, a favorite of mine.

Its about where Dee Dee mother of 11 year old son Trooper moves back to her home town in Maine with her son and is reunited with one of her childhood best friends Sam the Veternarian whom is married to Lydia whom is also a Vet.

Dee Dee has to go to Boston for candle supplies but thats not all. She is about to die of a type of cancer in some point in her short or long future. Its similar to the mother in the movie Step Mom and also the actor Micheal Landon. She needs someone to take Trooper in when she is gone even though she loves him very much. She will always love him.

Her late husband Bob whom she married first went away to Alaska on a business trip got arrested for two years worked there again when he got out then got killed in the cold weather snow there working in the snow.

Because of the factor that Trooper worked well as a vets assistant to Sam and Lydia they decide to adopt him when Dee Dee passes away. We don't know if she made it to his 12th birthday but I am sure she did. So even though there was a fire at that house, they got it built so Trooper would have a good home with them and yes he has a great friendship with Abbey too and its a small town in Maine where everyone knows one another too not some city where theres millions of strangers to one another.

My only hope is that Trooper gets adjusted well to the tragedy of his Mom Dee Dee and will be comfortable in the new big house with Sam and Lydia as his adopted parents. Plus he might have 2 youngers siblings too.
