Am I missing something?
I've watched a few episodes of season one and found it good, if not great. I was expecting a Curb Your Enthusiasm-like HBO show. Am I missing something?

shareWhy would you be "missing something" To each their own man. I don't see the issue exactly...

Keep watching, the show dips a bit in the 2nd season, pick backs up for the 3rd and the 4th for the most part is a train wreck.

^I agree with all this. Season 2 was actually my favorite too. After a good start, Season 3 turned out to be the weakest of the 4 seasons. But they're all good, of course.
shareWell it helps if you aren't uptight about what some people would consider to be politically incorrect jokes about mexican children, retards, masturbation, child abuse, scrotum humor, heavy drug use ect. If you don't find these things funny when acted out by some really funny people, you won't like the show.
It probably also helps to be over around 35 years old for a couple reasons. One, because a lot of the jokes have specific or generic 70s/80s references (like mullets, cocaine). Also most of the themes have to do with being older, washed up, second chances, *beep* college girls when you're an 'adult' -- things that are inherently funnier/more interesting when you have or are experiencing them. But I'm sure most of the jokes are pretty funny to someone of any age because they're pretty juvenile -- a type of humor you have to be into.
So DSN, is my theory correct? Are you like 25 years old or younger? Or a religious person? Because I can't imagine many reasons not to find this show *beep* hilarious -- unless you just don't have a sense of humor.
