The DVD Commentary is so lame
The whole time, the director, Foster and Pucci were going on and on about how "genius" and "hilarious" every scene was, and no one was honest enough to acknowledge all the problems with the film. The director chalked the butchering of the film up to the lame excuse of "the original cut was too bleak". And the final cut wasn't? If you're going to make a movie like this, do it all the way. It would've been a lot better.
Also, they seemed to have a weird attitude toward Winona Ryder. They all went on and on about how great everyone was in this movie (which is questionable), but didn't say one thing about Winona, and they talked about other stuff during most of her screentime. I just thought it was weird.
I happened to like this movie for the most part, by the way. The commentary just made me like it a little bit less.
