Are there movies that are so bad?

They start to become good due to how bad they suck? I think this one might have been on the brink, like to hear your thoughts though.....

I haven't watched this particular film, and from what I've read on these message boards I'd be better off getting 2 hours of rest. But to comment on your post, I think that besides Ed Wood's "Plan 9 from Outer Space" which is generally considered best "bad film" of all time, there are a few others that have crossed that line.

Verhoeven's "Showgirls" which failed miserably to live up to it's promise of being an 'important piece of cinema' is now considered a fantastic comedy of errors.

Another film that was going for 'serious drama' but missed the mark by 12 parsecs is Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" (2003). This movie went so horribly wrong that you must watch it with friends, and perhaps a bit of your favorite vice to help ease the pain into nervous, giddy laughter. This was the first time, the ONLY time, I've ever fast forwarded through the sex scenes of a film. You'll see what I mean.

Then there are those, in my opinion, that are just plain horribly bad with no hope of ever being pulled out of the muck of mediocrity. These include: Across the Universe (2007), The Animal (2001), Battlefield Earth (2000), Birthday Girl (2001), Congo (1995), Father's Day (1997), Gothika (2003), Pearl Harbor (2001), and basically anything by Roland Emmerich or Michael Bay.

Yeah I was very disappointed in this. Was looking forward to it because of the cast but the film was horrible.
