Jon Foster's graham similar to bale's bateman
i thought at times foster's graham was just like bale's bateman, as if foster just copied bale's bateman for his performance. anyone else think this?

shareI can see the resemblance, especially during the ill-advised car scene between graham and martin. It didn't really bother me per se but I did find it a tad obvious as well.
shareya didn't bother me either. i just noticed it. i thought foster was good. and also it's an ellis character and usually the protagonists are very similar anyways. didn't read the short story the informers so i don't know if it's exactly the case that Graham was similar to bateman.
shareno graham was not similar to patrick bateman in the novel in my opinion. if anything graham resembles clay from less than zero (the book NOT the movie).
sharefor sure. when i watched this movie i even thought that this should have been the movie that less than zero wasn't.
Ah great point! This movie was a lot like the Less than Zero Book that the real movie never came close to replicating!
Some fellows get credit for being conservative when they are only stupid.

He (or perhaps the makeup people) definetely copied Bale's look in American Psycho, the hairstyles were very similar, probably deliberately so.

HOLY CRAP YES! I couldn't believe it. There was one line early on that was so Bale Bateman-esque, and definitely in the jeep scene. For a bit I wondered if it was supposed to be Patrick Bateman. I'm glad it wasn't completely persistent, but it was noticeable.
I guess if you're going to copy a performance that would be a good one. Bale's Bateman is one of my favorite performances even though that movie is Effed up!
i thought that it was more due to the diredtor and production getting him to look like Bateman, than the acting.
