Worth buying just for the sake of being a BEE fan?

I didn't get a chance to see the film at it's very limited release in London, as a huge BEE fan and having loved American Psycho and even quite liked Less Than Zero (mostly just for RDJ), is it worth buying this on DVD?

I'm a huge BEE fan and would have to agree this is worth your time and money (if you're a die hard fan).

There is lots of lines from the book and it definitely plays out more like a novel of vignettes than following a traditional 3 act movie structure. However, there is a lot different from the novel but the themes play true to the book.

The characters dive deeper into the abyss that is LA and as they try to number their feelings of emptiness with drugs and alcohol they just fall deeper into loneliness and isolation. A very literary movie.

Yeah, if you're a fan of his, definitely need to own this...especially so you can rewatch that opening again and again. The scene with the poolboy and rats was captured more closely to the tone of the story in the book in This Is Not An Exit. That is MUST for BEE fans. Plus, it's hilariously entertaining to see/hear Candace Bushnell making fun of his anal sex preferences.

I'm a huge BEE fan too.

But I'm not buying this movie. Because I have the book and I'm half-way through.. I can't finish it I've been reading it since forever :/ I love BEE so much but when it comes to The Informers.. it's not for me.

I'm sure the movie wouldn't be better than the book. So skip.

I'll answer your question with two words- No Vampires. The only reason you should buy this DVD is if you want to whack off to Amber Heard naked a lot, but if you check you should be able to find HD versions of just the nude scenes on the net for free, so even there I wouldn't recommend the DVD. This is not a good adaptation at all.
