I did see LESS THAN ZERO and found that very moving. The characters were all from privileged backgrounds, but I tapped into them.
THE INFORMERS was just too decadent for me to enjoy. It seemed that with all the good looks in the genetic lottery, more than enough wealth, and all the privilege that goes with that (such as all that free and easy sex), you would think these people would be happier. Instead, they seemed angry and hostile toward each other.
I'm going to assume Bret Ellis Easton wasn't exaggerating, this movie was the Los Angeles he experienced growing up. Judging from this movie, being rich and beautiful has it's own challenges.
BTW, I did enjoy the movie as far as better understanding how the elite live.

Bret Ellis Easton is the bard of the rich beautiful California movie town people. His dad was a big wheel in Hollywood.
