Just curious....it's not the reason I saw the movie, for real....but there were pics and vids up before the movie was released where Amy Adams is putting on her bra, and you briefly see her breasts.
Did anyone notice that the DVD was cropped so you didn't see them? Were they in the theatrical? Did they re-crop it because of the internet buzz?
Anyone know?

Amy Adams does not do nudity on film. That could probably he an influence of his Mormon upbringing. Besides, she is better than that considering that she has great acting talent.

I was just curious why the had been editted out, and if it was intentional on the studio's part. I wasn't whining, I was interested in knowing if they cropped it BECAUSE of the leaked photos and bootleg video, and if it actually was in the theatrical version (and if it was intentionally left in THEN).

I saw the movie in the theatre and the only nudity I saw was Steve Zahn's bare buns. I think it's pathetic that there are guys that really fixate on some barely there nudity because they are so horny and have no lives.

I also find it amusing when people say things like "she is better than that" or "she has talent and doesn't need to do nudity".
While there are many instances of gratutious nudity in film (Hey silicone breasted women got to work too), there are also many instances where the nudity is essential to the scene or develops the character fully.
In this instance, even though she has been with the Zahn character for many years, the act of her getting out of bed and putting her bra on quickly indicates that the character is not all that comfortable with where she is or what she is doing.
The director had a clear vision for what he wanted for the film, with this edit, it detracts from the film and the character development.
And an actress that won't do nudity is truly not a talented actress as they will not give themselves fully to the part or the development of the character they are playing.
BTW, most academy award winning actresses have done nudity in film
Nothing in the original post implies some pervy need for breasts, rather a legitimate question about something odd.
Amy Adams filmed a brief topless scene for Sunshine Cleaning and while the foreign version of the film includes it, the domestic version is cropped so the nudity does not show.
If it was to get a PG-13 rating in the US, that might make some sense, but the film is rated R domestically so why crop the scene after filming but only in the US.
