DVD release date!
According to this DVD website, the DVD of Far North will be released on September 23, 2008.....

Ah..and the latest I had read was that Asif Kapadia is still hoping some European distributor will help him get a proper theaterical release for the movie. I hope this works sooner.....Want to see it on the big screen. Have seen the movie stills and these are amazing to say the least. Meant only for the big screen...

I'm not sure where you are, but it has been released in the U.S. I rented it from Blockbuster.com a little while ago.

In Germany it will be out on rental DVD on Jan 28, 2009:

So far not date for the sales version.
Lucky Brits and Russians, who seem to be the only ones who'll get it on big screens in wide release.
The Irish don't get it either, it'll have to be the DVD for me.
Seeing SB up close isn't exactly a hardship so I am not complaining lol
