Jane Austen movie with "damsels in distress" scene?

I thought I saw part of a Jane Austen movie adaptation once, where some of the female characters seemed in danger of attack from some rascally types in the woods, only to be rescued in time. Am I mis-remembering, or did this indeed happen in a Jane Austen-inspired movie? It seems so un-Austen-like. Thanks.

The only story that I recall that has that in it is Emma. All three screen adaptation have that scene in them.

In it, Harriet Smith and her friend Becky something or other are walking through the woods and are set upon by gypsies (children, actually). Becky runs, but Harriet is left to fend off the gypsies Frank Churchill comes by just in time to rescue Harriet and carry/bring her to Emma resulting in the confusion between Emma and Harriet about who Harriet is falling in love with.

The adaptations all have this scene because the book has it.

Betty Bickerton? I think that’s her name.

Emma.

There's also Marianne getting rescued by Willoughby, although she wasn't in that kind of danger, her ankle had been injured.
