One of the best scenes in the movie is gone. When Miranda mates with Forbes. The song was great during that scene and it was very sexy, even though half of it was alien footage. It was a great scene and they just cut the whole thing out.

Are you really that surprised? Sci-Fi is one of those channels that, as I like to say, lacks balls. They cut almost anything that's semi-offensive, which is sad considering it freaking SCI-FI. There's supposed to be gore and decapitations and all that good stuff.
