Cocoon question
What happened between the scene where Azura injects the woman and the scene where Miranda is in her cocoon? How could Miranda create a cocoon, if she was unconscious? How did the other woman create a cocoon? Thanks in advance.

shareIn Miranda's case they probably just stimulated the cocoon-making part of her biology by giving her alien hormones. Probably the same for the woman, since we've seen in Patric that the alien material starts operating really fast after being introduced into the body.
shareI assume that Forbes was able to artificially grow them in order to perform some of his experiments and grew them because they were (obviously) necessary for what they were doing.
shareOkay, here's another question:
In the 1st movie, Sil hatches from her cocoon covered in what looks like blood or something similar. In Species 3 and Species: The Awakening, Sara and Miranda hatch from their cocoons not covered in anything, except for some slime-like substance (if you look closely). Did the writers just forget to put that detail in the movies? Or is it something different?
By the way, what do you think Sil was covered in when she hatched from her cocoon?
I think they were all just covered in some kind of slime. The fact that it was darker and more noticable in the first movie is just an overview by the director. If there is one thing this series lacks, it's solid continuity.
