Blonde hair
Can someone please explain to me why all 4 aliens (Sil, Eve, Sarah, Miranda) have blonde hair? Thanks.
shareSIL, Eve and Miranda are geneticly the same person, as they were created from the three embryos mentioned in the first movie. Miranda however isn't played by Natasha (since she seems to hate the Species franchise now), but supposedly Miranda is identified as the third SIL in the screenplay (which I haven't read personaly). I guess you can explain the difference in apperance with Hollender's hormone therapy or something like that.
As for Sarah, she is the daugther of Eve and Patric. So I guess she inherited the hair color.
Thank for explaining. I've always wondered if the message from outer space only contained DNA for blonde hair. I wish they could have a brunette for Species V to bring in some change LOL.
shareWell, the aliens don't have hair at all. So the blonde colour would come from whoever it was that provided the human half of SIL's genes.

But from a movie goers standpoint, it kind of fits that fact that these creatures are supposed to be hot in human form. Also, I think the blonde hair also plays slightly on people's subconscious. Look at the movie Basic Instinct. Blonde woman going around committing murder, manipulating people. I think it's become slightly ingrained in America that a blonde woman is more likely to be a deadly manipulator. I could be way off base on that but that's kinda how I see it. Blondes may look more innocent but are more dangerous.

shareThe halfbreeds are offspring of Patric and various women, so they could have nearly any apperance. Come to think of it Patric himself had dark hair.

I don't think that's true. It's not clear how many women Patrick has slept with and how many sons he had. It's possible some were simply to young to cocoon at that time and weren't even in cave or destroyed with others. Story allows it.
Besides at the end of 2nd film in the ambulance there's Eve (pregnant with Patrick's child) and a little boy, half breed. That boy returns in third movie, dies in teacher's office and is being cut appart later on. Remember?
