GREAT FILM, CRAPPY DVD COVER

I like the film alot, but I bought the DVD, and the cover looks like a porn, and Helena Mattsson is cheapened by it. I think I'm in love with Helena. She needs to lose the dumb blonde image though and get a more real look. I would like to see her with short hair or just not as blonde. But BOO on the designers of this DVD cover. It's a shame. Do they think people are so stupid that you can just throw a beautiful blonde on a cover and people will shell out $20 when they can buy girls gone wild? Perhaps MGM should just make Girls Gone Wild if that's the case.

Idk what porn covers you've been looking at but I don't think it looks anything like the cover of a dirty movie. Does she look like a seductress/temptress? Yes, but that's kinda the idea of the whole Species franchise: hot blonde chick that wants to get naked and freaky (in more ways than one).

FYI, most porn covers these days have pictures of the actual acts performed on said movie.

I have to say I really like the cover, glad they went with a golden hue this time it reflects Miranda hero-like personality. There's nothing about the cover that screams porn to me, in fact her alien form is a dead give away that this is a sci-fi movie. Plus porn movies today hardly ever have covers that are this tame.

I miss the half alien face. It was just better. This is like a magazine cover, or TV guide cover, not sci-fi movie.

I like it because she didn't know she was an alien, so it shows her as two different entities: human and alien. Sil/Eve/Sarah all knew they were aliens from the get go, so the half and half thing made sense. Miranda was different.

they put her on the cover to get horny guys to buy this crap. Have you heard of something called sex sells, and this movie is really bout selling Helena Mattsson and her hot boobs, and not a science fiction horror either. A one legged chook would be more scary than this low budget and recyle plot turkey of a movie.

I think the people behind making the Species series assume that you already know what you're getting into before you buy the movie. If I may be so bold to say tht it's basically an action-packed alien softcore. Yes I said it, but we already knew this. That being said it only makes sense to put something on the cover that reiterates the films message. Don't be fooled by a great looking woman in a sexy dress. For me the box cover conveyed an actual message rather be as dumbed down as you have put it.

well 'MGM' big logo is not at the top of the cover, you can thank 20th century fox for that. sure maybe the softcorn stuff made this movie better? but 'MGM' doesn't really know what kind of movie it want to make sometime,
