Alien Prequel and Species 5

I think it was no coincidence when both Species 3 and 4 came out 2004 and 2007. The same years we've had "AVP" and "AVP Requiem" coming out. Both franchises feature H.R. Giger's monster designs and MGM uses the opportunity to make a Species film everytime a new Alien film comes out because there are enough people that can see the connection which can result in better dvd sales for Species.

So I'm pretty sure that we are going to see another Species movie around the time the Alien prequel, that was recently announced, is gonna hit theaters and I'm happy about that. I love the Species franchise and I would love to see another one.

Well, as much as I hope they'd do another movie, I also feel like this last one was a fairly decent sendoff for the franchise. Now I'll admit that I wouldn't mind some kind of reboot but I think the closure at the end of 4 should extend to the whole franchise.

well, i love both the series, infact Alien Alone is much better.

Species is more SCI FI and Booby stuff, Alien is mature horror and thriller and AVP is Action and SCi Fi..

Best of all the worlds..

Species.. 5.... Must be R rated..........

I would welcome another one.

With all 3 SIL embryos gone (supposing Miranda was the third) and Sarah probably dead by now, I guess they'd have to go with either the rat from the first one, some of Patric's kids that didn't die already (or their offspring) or any of Forbes' creations.

I did the math on Species 1: young SIL seemed to age about 4 years per calendar month. If she had aged at the same rate post-cocoon as well, she would have a maximum life span of about 2 years.

If Miranda was created at the same time as Eve in Species 2, in 1998, she lived for 10 years before having signs of "old age". I think this extended lifespan is due to the hormonal injections supressing her alien half, and that the natural lifespan of the aliens is much shorter if not tampered with.

So in conclusion, it's hard to use any existing character from before, but maybe their descendants are still around.
