If "Miranda" (or anyone else) is made from half human and half alien DNA, does that person have a soul?

Since we don't know if souls even exist then who's to say what may have one, human or otherwise.

For the relevance of this movie having a soul or not doesn't really play a factor. As an existential question one would have to question if souls exist. Coming from a personal viewpoint I do believe in souls and a creator. I also believe that we would be arrogant as a human species to believe that we are alone in this universe and that we are the only creatures that should have souls. So from that standpoint, to answer your question, I personally believe that the half alien/human character could have a soul.
