Is this about a haunted mansion or what because i dont understand what is going on in the trailer

The main character is a girl away from home for the first time, who reads too many gothic novels and has a very vivid imagination. She gets invited to stay at an old run-down Abbey, and she starts believing that the owner of the house murdered his wife and that the place is haunted.

John and Mary had never met. They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met.

The alleged murderer has a son, and Catherine starts to fall for him; although of course she doesn't tell him she believes his father murdered his mother. Henry is one of my favorite Austen heroes, simply for his sense of humor--he's a bit like Mr Bennet, but nowhere near as caustic or misanthropic. He especially enjoys teasing Catherine because she's so incredibly naive and gullible that most it goes straight over her head. There's also a rather arrogant and obnoxious guy, John Thorpe, that she meets at the beginning of her stay in Bath, who somehow gets the notion she has a large fortune and won't leave her alone, which causes misunderstandings with Henry.

I didn't think I was--most of that info could be found on any writeup on the outside of the book (and is also about as much as the plot summary for NA on IMDb gives away).

...and to be fair Unwanted Birdtamer was just answering the question. If you don't want to hear any spoilers then it's probably best not to read a thread asking for the storyline to be explained.

If one reads the book then there would be no spoilers at all!
