I love this movie except for the stupid microwave scene. The only thing I have trouble with is looking at Garret Dillahunt and not seeing Burt Chance, looking at Ricki Lindhome and not seeing Garfunkel, and looking at Aaron Paul and not seeing, well, Aaron Paul bitches! ;)

I'm not saying any of the actors did a bad job. For some reason though I can't get past this well known group of actors that I have seen be hilarious in other roles and as themselves playing these iconic evil characters. The whole cast is somewhat known and it just seems out of place for a remake of LHOTL. Is it just me?

I don't know who these particular actors are because I don't watch a whole lot of new stuff but I get what you're saying. I try to avoid many big budget, Hollywood horror films for that very reason. I don't like that many movies with big name stars (unless I'm already a huge fan of theirs to begin with). There's nothing like watching a movie and recognizing a cast member from the tabloid magazine you glanced at in the grocery store checkout line. It sort of takes me out of the moment and makes me remember that it's just a movie.
