Even though the film clearly shows he was threatened and bullied by the brother or the older member of the gang, I don't see her giving him a way out on his being so complacent on not speaking up. It's kind of funny, but the parents seem to know he could do nothing to stop what happened.

I am sure they will use him to back up there story on what took place. I also feel he and her are not the least bit into sex or a relationship at this time.

No, I don't see how she could date the guy who was pretty much responsible for her being brutally assaulted and almost murdered.

Regardless of his own fears he sat there when she pleaded with him to help. He sat there and watched her friend get stabbed to death and her get raped. That's not really boyfriend material.

No chance in hell they'd be boyfriend and girlfriend. He was partially responsible for her friend's murder and her own brutal rape. Seriously, what was going through your head when you made this thread?

No. The trauma received by Mari is very likely too great to want a constant reminder hanging around.
