Old post but fresh answer. Cos he was pretty much unknown in 2009. Breaking bad was 2008 but was not as well known as it was now. Just some dedicated followers.

For sure. I got on Breaking Bad between Seasons 3 and 4 I think. I love it now, am a devoted fan to that and Saul. But when I first saw this, he was barely recognizable to me, and it took me a while before I made the connection
