Recommend for TVD fans?

Just letting you know, I'm a hardcore huge fan of The Vampire Diaries (I'm not kidding) and this show seems interesting... Is it as good?

The first three season were good. Then from the 4th season on. It's a giant train crash.

Stick with the Vampire Diaries. At least on that show. The writers don't ruin Caroline.

Lmao you are kidding right? Caroline was destroyed in Season 4-5 season and on.

See, I'm the total opposite. I'm a huge True Blood fan and wondering if TVD would be something that I could get into? Not tried watching it yet though.

It's quite a bit more "adult" than TVD. Being on HBO, they can get away with more sexy stuff than CW. People compare the two a lot, but they really aren't all that similar other than having multiple types of supernatural creatures. The first few seasons are the same as far as the love triangle with two vampires goes, but the triangle is non-existent after season 4. I really liked the first 4 seasons, tolerated the 5th, and then hated it after that. I didn't even bother watching Season 7, but I might get around to it eventually. If you go into it without any source material knowledge, you may like it more.

My advice? Don't get around to watching season 7 unless you enjoy teeth mashing , throwing things at your TV set and having your intelligence insulted ,repeatedly.

I'm still on season 1, but so far it's really good though. It's quite similar to The Vampire Diaries in a way, but True Blood is more like a Texan (I think) version of The Vampire Diaries.
