Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice = False Dichotomy
The whole pro-life/pro-choice argument is a false dichotomy, and this film does a great job of showing this.
A lot of the so-called "pro-life" people who are against abortion are also pro-death penalty, they support the military/war, have no problem with drone strikes, support the prison industrial complex, and are in favor of the violent exploitive capitalist system that creates poverty, and kills people. Some of the more extreme "pro-life" folks are inexplicably in favor of murdering abortion doctors, and try to justify it by using language to dehumanize them.
Then on the same token, we have the "pro-choice" folks who would normally be against violence, oppression, and killing, but they are in favor of killing innocent babies. Let's be honest about this. They try to frame the argument so it's about "freedom of choice" and "women's rights", and they try to dehumanize the baby by calling it a fetus, just so they don't have to be honest and own up to the fact that they are advocating for a barbaric, brutal, violent act of killing.
Am I wrong or are both the "pro-life" and "pro-choice" groups completely inconsistent hypocrites?
As this great documentary demonstrates, abortion is a much more complicated issue than the simplistic pro-life/pro-choice either-or fallacy.
