Great cut, aside from the final diner scene

Great concise movie, no Lester crap, Zod, Ursa and Non, as well as Jor-El, have a LOT more lines and the villains sound really menacing this time, and Zod machinegunning US soldiers is really frightening.

But that diner scene, AFTER Superman has done that stupid "flying around the earth backwards" shit for a second time, makes it look like Superman is picking on someone for no apparent reason. Really petty!

But not a bad movie at all, otherwise. Makes the Richard Lester movie look like utter SHIT in comparison.

Donner had no choice but to leave many Lester scenes in the movie because it couldn't be refilmed so it's questionable if that scene would've been done if he had 100% control.

The third movie is even worst.
