Is this becoming a cult film?
Is it reaching that status yet?
shareIt will i think. The life aquatic with steve zissou is also gaining a lot of interest & probably is already a cult film by now.
wes anderson is one of the best american directors with his inimitable style & his films seem to gain popularity & are appreciated more with time passing.

Life Aquatic is DEF a Cult Classic now. And this is going to join it as well. Both films got bashed when they came out... only to be loved later.
Where did I hear this line? "Things that start out good, end badly. Things that start out bad, end up good." or something to that effect I butchered the line.
I'm finding this is the 'problem' with Anderson's more recent films. As of Aquatic, he seems to have fallen out of public favour for some reason, but the movies only get better with repeated viewing. I have a suspicion he'll be another of these directors who is more missed when he's gone than appreciated while he's with us.
