In the credits it says 'The Father' is in it. If its referring to their dead father, where abouts do you see him, if its on the train dream-like sequence what part? Many Thanks

I agree: Bill Murray is the father. In the beginning of the film, note how Peter overtakes him and leaves him exhausted on the platform as the train speeds off. Life for the sons goes on, leaving the father behind. Murray reappears again in the fantasy scene of the train... the scene that shows the main characters in the brothers' lives, passing like a slide show.
Well you are agreeing with someone who is wrong, Bill Murray was just a businessman who happened to also be in India. The Father referred to in the credits is the man who lost a son.
