I just couldn't get into it...
I am a big fan of "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" so I was actually looking forward to this one, but I just couldn't get into it. It fell flat for me. I wish I could pin down a more specific reason, but I can't really. It just wasn't working for me. I'll definitely give it another try someday soon. Maybe I'll watch "Big Adventure" right before it next time.
