Diane Salinger who played Simone in Pee Wee's Big Adventure is on the cast list, but playing a different character. She also played Paul Reubens wife in Batman Returns. I like how all the Pee Wee movies/shows seem to exist in different universes. I like to imagine Pee Wee as an interdimensional being.

I didn't make that connection when I watched it, THANK YOU! I noticed he said it in french & I was waiting for other callbacks (the disdain for snakes) I know there were other things, like when he was hitch-hiking I wanted to see the 'giant thumb' maybe a sign shaped like NY BUT I CERTAINLY enjoyed what I did see!
I fell asleep during INCEPTION BUT I FEEL like I still saw it!
