Does Paul Ruebens not age
Seriously, isn't the guy in his 50's?
shareHe'll be 64 this year. And, even though I've always loved the guy, the fact that he DOES look older is the one aspect of Pee-wee that makes me cringe.
shareI guess you haven't seen him without makeup....like clowns.
shareRead "Pee-wee's Big Comeback" in the New York Times. He explains everything they had to do (including cgi on virtually every frame) to keep him from showing his age in Pee-wee's Big Holiday. He even wore a "girdle" on the back of his neck to pull the skin on his chin tighter. Yikes!
shareYeah, I've seen him in person..I will say still, he looks darn good for 64 however.
shareYeah I was trying to figure out why he barely looks older in 20 years. It does look like he has a lot of make up on.

If you mean gay as in happy, then yes, he's gay. That being said, goodjob to the makeup artists! They made him look young again.
shareNot surprising that he's wearing a ton of makeup considering Pee Wee is an extremely gay character
it's digital makeup, baby... just like tom cruise and [LIST ANOTHER HUNDRED ACTORS HERE].
and you thought CGI just meant dinosaurs and spaceships?
think on your own much?
I didn't know there was such a thing as digital make-up. I'm well aware of CGI effects but did not realize they could add it to actors who are moving around in scenes, then again that's what would have been done for Charlize Theron and her arm in the Mad Max movie.
I'm a fan of first PeeWee movie so will watch it since the trailer looks good, otherwise I would have worried Paul Reubens left it too late...well maybe not too late for the invention of digital makeup. This movie should have been made 20-25 yrs ago, when he could have pulled off the man-child character more convincingly and the character was still well known, now its oldman-child and its getting into weird territory, but to his credit and the makeup artists and the special effects team, the PeeWee character is still good. I hope it does well for him.
Regardless of what kind of make-up effects they had to do....even at events, Reubens still doesn't look 63!

He couldn't have because of the criminal charges against him
shareNot very bright are you? Ignorance really must be bliss.
shareI knew he was charged with lewd conduct of something like that and unfortunately it totally killed his career back at the time, when he was riding high. Him being charged would not have prevented him from making any more movies/tv shows but the sponsors and studio execs just dumped him. I realize he had no friends at the corporate level back 30-25 yrs then to green light any of his projects such as this movie for fear his image was tarnished and people would shun his shows/movies. I felt sorry for him he had such a fall from grace back at that time.

If anyone here saw the movie "Ant-Man" that came out in 2015 there is a long scene where Michael Douglas looks 30 years younger thanks to cgi. Almost hard to tell any cgi was done besides the fact being that Michael Douglas looks massively younger.
I wonder if this movie uses similar cgi effects to make pee wee appear younger?
Also the whole Benjamin Button movie.
