im confused about this..how many episodesare there in this season ...on ythis site it says around 44 but only describes episodes up to number 28

You can see the same thing on a lot of other shows listed at IMDB too.
They assume early on a given number of episodes will be made, and then another number of episodes get made.
28 episodes is the full count for season 3.
