That seemed like a Boys from Brazil reference? Maybe I am reaching, but that was the first thing that popped to mind.

So nazi uniform is bad.. graphic death of kitten, not important?
anyway a black guy wearing a nazi uniform was a striking image mmm that's good juxta!

That's the number two scene in the film as far as being a massive example of a scene that bombed in a monumental way. (Number one bad scene was the wasted footage with the one footed clone... yeezzz)

If the nazi stuff had some place in the film it would have been different, but it was out of left field and worse of all for a comic scene...wasn't funny.

Check out the Grindhouse flick "Black Gestapo". I just bought it on DVD from Oldies.com (a haven for retro-geeks like myself). Haven't watch it yet but it has blacks in Nazi-like uniforms, sans the swastika.

Obviously The Octopus and the Nazis were one in there desire to take over the world, but on the color issue, stepping back away from the film, you don't have to be blond and blue eyed to get on the Nazi wagon. I have seen Egyption clerics that identify with, and aspire to be like Germany's Nazis: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/32573_Egyptian_TV-_Cleric_Wishes_for_Another_Holocaust

...now after a couple drinks to deaden the pain (after viewing that clip), lets step back into the movie. This is a silly silly movie. The foot clone was silly. Toilets and kitchen sinks are silly. And a black guy wearing a Nazi uniform, considering the context, is quite silly. Honestly i don't completely get it, but in the context of the movie I kinda liked it.

...and like another member on this board so astutely pointed out, at least he's not a jew.
