Yes, we understand The Spirit was a parody. It was intended to be sly and funny. Yes, we all get that. The problem is that it wasn't funny. Not at all. Yet so many chuckleheads here at this forum seem to think that this film did poorly because people "didn't get it." Riiiight.

What does it being a serious comic have to do with it being a comedy movie? It had me laughing hard in some parts with it's dark comedy, what does that have to do with the comic in any way?
