I've always liked this movie.

I don't know why. There's something about the campiness and style that I always enjoy no matter how many times I watch the movie. It's back and forth when it comes to tone and story and it feels ridiculous, but the movie presents itself like it's supposed to be ridiculous. I remember seeing this in theaters and I enjoyed every second of it. I even find myself quoting it from time to time. I see why some people hate it and find it to be a huge disappointment; the Spirit comics are widely revered and loved and this movie barely has any relations or connections to the comics save for the villains and their names. But damn, do I enjoy this movie regardless.
