I think all of you are looking at this the wrong way. If I myself had just met Becca at the party, when she was in the condition she was, I would definitely think twice if she was coming on to me.
But the thing is, Evan and Becca had known each other for years, and it turned out that Becca was really into Evan as well. When they talked in school about going to the party, she was obviously excited about him going. She also called him several times up till the party, to hear if he would be there etc. My point is... She did all of these things and had all these feelings, when she was SOBER as well. She would 100% have *beep* Evan in a sober condition as well, all the alcohol she had consumed just made her tipsy and apparently more horny.
In my opinion, Evan pussyed out. He knew Becca was into him - both sober and drunk. Therefore, I don't understand at all how he (and apparently most of you) would feel, that it would be taking advantage of her.

I'm not a guy, and I don't know if I'm the only one to make this interpretation, but to me it seems like it's not just about whether he's taking advantage of her, but also that it's not what he wants their first time to be like. He has this big crush on her and in that scene he just keeps repeating how pretty and perfect she is, as if he wanted that moment to be more special than it actually is. They're so wasted that it's likely to be quite clumsy and awkward, and he doesn't know how much of her come-ons are because of being drunk, so even if he wants to sleep with her, he might be realizing in that moment that this is not the way he wants it to happen.

I mean, she clearly wanted Evan to sleep with her, so I guess it wouldn't be totally bad. On the other hand, if she was passed out, that would definitely be rape, so no.
Also, drunk people make me uncomfortable when I'm not drunk (no matter how hot they'd be) so I would also probably got away from her anyway. I've had drunk girls flirting at me with me being sober, so this is pretty much confirmed.

shareI've had the same experience going to concerts and being a non-drinker. I always figure my job in that situation is to help keep the loonies on the path, so to speak, and a lot of girls get so wasted drunk that they make bad decisions. I remember once this beautiful and very drunk girl hitting on me and not understanding why I didn't respond. I was floored by the thought that, when I drank, it was the situation that I sought out. At the end of my drinking career I wasn't into the concept of drunken one-night stands, something my friends at the time did not understand. When you're young it's cute, but when you're older it's more sad.
Evan did the right thing. He cared about her and didn't want to potentially hurt her or make her think less of him for taking advantage. But, to tell the truth, if it was me at age 18 I would have definitely gone for it. At least up to the point that she threw up.
