Indiana Jones

Did anyone else notice the Indiana Jones parallelism in this movie? At the beginning of the movie as soon as I realized that Arielle's sister had sent her the journal, I had a flashback to The Last Crusade when Indy's father sent him his journal. And then the professor dude, Richard made a comment about the idol belonging in the museum. I was half expecting Desmond to fire back "So do you." And then of course there was the betrayal by Michelle that totally reminded me of Elsa betraying Indy. I was surprised that Arielle didn't have a bag of sand to replace the idol with when she was trying to remove it.

Anyway, this movie was pretty stupid, but I thought the Indiana Jones mimicking was pretty funny. Though I don't know if it was intentional.

Apparently it was intentional as the screen writer is a big Indiana Jones fan.
