I gathered that he felt she treated him poorly at the party's flat, not like "one of the family", so what with his predisposition for being a psychopath he battered her about there to get her not to leave, he went over the top, then took her to the house and abused her there; he says before Theis shoots him something like "you can't move in now, that's where I did it.
