put my mind at ease....please!! SPOILERS

I'm a total sucker for spoilers for TV series (although I never skip to the end of a book to find out what happens!) and I NEED TO KNOW!!!! I've gathered from the other posts here that Vaghn is the guy, which I have been suspecting since the beginning (watching on BBC4 in the UK, so on episode 10 right now), but please tell me that Troels is OK at the end? I read something scary about a suicide attempt? He's toooo lovely to die! Think I may need to take my ass over to Denmark to see if I can find my very own Troels :) Don't need details, just assurances that he comes out of it OK in the end.....I'm such a sap!!

I haven't got a clue who did it (I in the UK so up to episode 10) but my money has always been on Vagn... also he has had a plaster on his neck in the first episodes, which is a strange detail, maybe she scratched him and he had to cut her nails... no idea who did it, but I love Troels, so I hope it wasn't him!

Hi Jenni,
I can reassure you that Troels will be more or less OK. Like you, I couldn't wait to find out who killed Nana. Well, I found a solution, a great Australian site called wwww.devoteddvd.com . I purchased part one and two of "The Killing" and finished watching them in one day. Though, I wasn't shocked by finding out the real killer as I suspected that person from the episode one, I was totally engulfed by the story till the very end.
Regards,
Anna

Hi, please please please tell me the killers name. It won't spoil the series but I can't wait. Helen

OK. The killer is the character played by this actor http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0159867/

As at Episode 18 Troels has become a bit arrogant, don't you think? I didn't want the latest death as it has made it into a tragic story, I was really rooting for that person as the underdog, unsung hero if you like.

C'mon, the Wire's not that good...

The Wire IS that good!

I agree with you on everything else, though.

Heartbroken... Sob! Choke!

reply

I agree - the death was utterly tragic, and I wish that character would have survived (in a coma would have been just as good, surely) ready to be part of series 2, which I think will not be anywhere near as good as the first given this character not being in it.

(ok, I tried not to give anything away, but the title does say spoilers!)

So after 20 episodes of waffle it ends with a "Se7en" rip off, first with the music as they walk through the woods at the climax, followed by the blatant "she begged me for her life" provocation.

It was okay. Nothing more than that and certainly not worth the hysterical plaudits and demented devotion worthy of the offending party.

Fantastic twenty hours of TV

In conclusion now we know officially who the killer was, I was left disappointed as there were still a few questions to be answered and I don't wish to go through it in this reply. As it was such a long, long, series there were pehaps too many questions. Killing II is only ten parts so should be better. I didn't understand Morten's part in all this and some of the plot was a bit far fetched and surprised the killer got away with it all this time. Another thing, they were always after one suspect and one suspect only. It's only when that suspect was proved to be innocent did they move onto soemeone else, rarther than having two or three on the list. The production and quality was excellent though.

C'mon, the Wire's not that good...

The suicide attempt is Tro alibi which he doesn't want to give away.

English is not my first language. Any corrections are welcome.

I'm glad that Troels Hartman ended up okay and would become the new Mayor because he was the only likeable charcter in the whole series.

Does the Mayor have responsibility for the police department in Copenhagen???

If this is the case then I hope that one of Hartman's first acts as the Mayor will be to have a major housecleaning of the Copenhagen police department who were corrupt, grossly incompetent, arrogant and showed total contempt for the rule of law.
