Death of the cop - query SPOILERS

Not sure if there are people out there who have been as slow to watch this as I have but I wasn't sure about putting Meyer's name in the title...

In the episode when Meyer dies the subtitle says something like 'there was a problem with his blood supply'. What does this actually mean? Is it just a rather poor translation of the original Danish which perhaps indicated that he'd suffered a hemorrhage (despite the doctor saying he would live)? Or... is it suggesting that his blood supply was tampered with? That might be something a 2 year medical student could have done - especially if he realised that Meyer might recover and identify him (as he clearly could have given the Sara '84).

Thanks for replying Temple.

The subtitles are a little dodgy in places and I wasn't sure if it was trying to point people in the direction of the killer coming back to finish the job.
