Can I watch the US version before the original?

I very much wanted to watch the original only, but my dvd player will not play the midia I have.

So I ask, is it ok to watch the US version?

I watched the U.S. version --- Season 1 and the first couple of episodes before I started watching the original.

The plot starts out fairly similar but quickly diverges. And the characters are quite different (and far more interesting in the original).

After watching the original, the AMC version seems a lot tackier; but I thought it was pretty good before that.

I watched the original series after watching the US remake and to be honest, I wasn't very much impressed by it. Maybe, it's because I already knew some of the plotlines/characters/etc. However, for some reason, I like the US version much more.

The admirer of Matthew Gray Gubler, Ben Barnes and Rose Byrne.

Well you won't get jailed for it say like Pussy Riot! Why don't you try streaming the Danish version. I have to say like The Girl films I will not watch the US version, simply because I am hard to impress and I found Forbrydelsen (the Danish title) incredibly good and I don't know how you can improve on it.

Completely agree with you. Why bother with American versions. And yeah I never did the U.S. Tattoos.

I think I watched only the pilot of the American version and did not like it at all. Now I am watching the Danish version and, so far, enjoying it. (Had to buy a multi-region DVD player though as a Region 2 version is not available.)
