What a HUGE disapointment (major Spoilers)

For several reasons, I had to wait two years to watch. So my expectations that were already high, for all the reviews and praise, naturally got even higher.

When I first saw it here, its ratings were 9.1 !!! Now it is 7.9, and I can totally understand why.

I saw it all in exactly 9 days in a row. I prefer to watch seasons this way, and usually reserve a special day for the final 4 or 6 episodes.

In this case, I went to bed last Friday half way through episode 19!!!
When we are usually glued to the chair in the final episodes ... I went to bed!

First of all, no reason for 20 episodes, and no reason for 58 minutes long ones.
But that is not main the problem.

The main problem is the writing, and the fact that after 20 long episodes we were still left with several unanswered questions.

What exactly happened that night?

What was Bremer going to say to Troels?

What was Troels going to tell the police?

How could it matter?

Why "beautiful and hot" Rie took the blame?

Why Meyer withheld the Sara 84 info to the last seconds of his life and how did he learn about it without Lund?

Did Leon know or not about Vagn? If so, how come he kept quiet, even when the police was after him?

As for my first question, we are to believe that she went to the party, and while having a good time with her friends and being all excited about her new life she remembered she had to return some books ???

She was planning on leaving the country and not for a split second thought about her passport ???

Which by the way she kept at her lover's flat instead of at home ???

She took a cab, Leon was driving it, tipped off Vagn, who went after her, right?

- if that is so, how did Vagn knew about the flat?

- so much blood in the flat and she was still alive?

- to be raped at the house? Why go to the house to rape her, the flat was not confortable enough?

- how did she manage to escape to the woods?

- how did her personal belongings ended up in the woods? The guy would clean her nails but not get rid of her documents?

- Vagn said he could not kill her, WTF, what does the writers call locking someone in a car and drowning it??? An act of love???

- how did he know where Meyer and Leon would be (when he killed them)?

and a few more I am sure.

Such a shame, could have been great.

When you pose such questions:

>Why "beautiful and hot" Rie took the blame?

>Why Meyer withheld the Sara 84 info to the last seconds of his life and how did he learn about it without Lund?

> Vagn said he could not kill her, WTF, what does the writers call locking someone in a car and drowning it??? An act of love???

and all the other ones I can only assume you didn't really watch it carefully, did you? Well, my only answer is: try again:) It's all there.

And if you still don't get it - well, maybe instead of blaming the writers for your "HUGE disappointment" you should just switch to some simple series you will get instantly - plenty of them there, I suppose.

Sounds like you should've watched the Yankee plagiarism. Silly Duffer.

and no reason for 58 minutes long ones.
There is a reason for US network series having 42 minutes by episode?

The reason here is that's the normal lenght of Danish TV episodes: see also Bron, Borgen, Äkta människor...
