The sweater

All her things were packed up because she was moving to Sweden. She kept trying to leave the first few days and then got hooked on the case. Her clothes were the last thing on her mind.

It's not unusual to wear wool sweaters like jackets, again and again for days at a time. Wool is really great at not retaining odors and can be worn many times before it needs to be washed. I do the same thing during the winter - I'll just change the shirt that I always wear underneath (b/c wool can be a bit itchy so I always wear a cotton shirt underneath). I know many people who do the same.

It's a bit boring for viewers to see characters wear the same clothes but it's not unrealistic (if I had my way, Sarah would be wearing a different patterned sweater in every episode!)

Meyer did the same, day in and day out, and Pernilla, the same shirt all the time. And they didn't have their things packed, preparing to leave (to those who said she wore the same sweater because her things were packed).

I received a shirt as a gift that I really like so I bought three more, two of the same color. I wear them all the time--every day (almost) with the same color tee underneath. It is sold by L.L.Bean and I wear pants that are all in a variation of blue made by Union Bay.

I do this because I am tired of caring too much and, this way, I am always "presentable" or "appropriately attired" and the pockets will contain what I need every day and I am warm enough for most days.

I have only seen the first 6 episodes of the first season. The site I streamed it thru took it off, for vague reasons, so now I am shopping for a DVD machine that will play the disks I can procure thru Amazon (US).

The knitwear also has personal memories for the actor, who was brought up in the 70s in a very hippy-like environment in Copenhagen. "I wore this sweater and so did my parents. That sweater was a sign of believing in togetherness. There's a nice tension between those soft, human values and Lund being a very tough closed person – because to me it says that she's wanting to sit around a fire with a guitar; it gives a great opposite to her line of work and behaviour.""

I think also it's about her not being a girly girl. Lund is not very concerned with her appearance, she's concerned with catching killers!
