One niggling thing about Thiers thats unresolved is the drug dealer who its implied he beat to death 20 years previously.When hes being questioned about the beating of the schoolteacher Meyer says something to him to the effect of I know you had a good reason to do it or something like that.Its maybe briefly mentioned again once then no more from what I remember.
shareI was also thinking about it. We were led to believe he and Vagn did do it but weren't given further explanations. I was waiting for him to confess to his wife at some point but never happened.
shareReading between the lines I think his wife (or wife to be at that stage,not sure?) was maybe a drug addict and was being supplied by said dealer,which was the motivation for Thiers to kill him,maybe not intentionaly but in a fit of rage while confronting him.Theres a lot left unsaid.
shareAt some point Vagn reassures Pernille that Theis did not do it, and this in such a way, that one can only conclude, he did it himself. Which fits in perfectly with his drive to protect Theis wherever he can, however bad the consequences, as becomes clear in the end.
