'This is a waste of time. Theres nothing here'
The film runs for what should have been a brief 80 minutes, but instead we get a film that feels like it goes on for far too long due to bad pacing and lack of engaging material. Even when it finally gets around to what’s supposed to be a big, exciting final fight between good and evil, most will be checking their watches to see how much longer it’ll be until they see daylight again. Speaking of wanting to see daylight again, there is a piece of dialogue that’s spoken while the characters are roaming around in the dark vampire caverns that ironically ends up describing the film more so than their situation. After searching the caverns for a minute or two, Hicks says “This is a waste of time. There’s nothing here.” I couldn’t agree more. 1.5/4 stars.

So very true 3/10 and that's being kind.
Yes, this movie really is as bad as most are saying. I basically knew nothing about the plot except the basic premise and have to admit that I could not stop my eyes from rolling during the opening cartoon explanation scene. From there all I was hoping for was some good action and popcorn distraction. The movie really delivers very little of either. Besides the over-the-top and standard organized religion is awful B.S., the parameters they set up for their world make no sense and no one seems to follow those same idiotic parameters. The action is sub-standard (except maybe the Maggie Q motorcycle clash) and the CGI is beyond awful. Honestly, the CG blind vampires are extremely fake and quite lame. Worst of all, what promises to be a solid lead villain turns out to be a waste of film. I can’t believe they wasted Karl Urban. You would think that a script that tries to combine the plot of The Searchers with Blade would be cool at least in parts? You’d be wrong.
