Am I alone in the wasteland?

First, I love anything with a steampunk/cyberpunk setting. Not having read the comic nor even seen a trailer (apparently it wasn't advertised much where I live), I caught it on cable and thoroughly enjoyed it. But then, I had no expectations and only looked at it as an action flick, rather than as a deep mythos with delusions of grandeur. In fact, as a screenwriter myself, I enjoyed the writer's attempt to make as many of the characters nameless as possible, so not to detract from the action. I think I'd have gone one step further and given the few named characters names that were more like titles (like the Priest and Priestess characters were). But that's just me.

So, did ANYONE else like this movie?

Yep, very much actually. :)

Yes ... and I know nothing of the comic, either. Maybe that's the catch. I went in expecting Bettany and Q to "kick-a**", and that's what I got ... (and, oh yeah ... Urban was great, also, in a limited role)!

It was rather enjoyable, although I think Legion was better.
They both received too much hate. Not memorable movies by any means, but certainly not pure crap either.

🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾

The dark futuristic atmosphere is what drew me in. I also enjoy Cyberpunk. Wished it had more characters in it. I'm glad to own this movie on Blu-Ray.
