Good dog
This movie would have been extremely more successful if they had shown the dog being nice and lovable sometimes instead of just misbehaving all the time.

shareThat was the point. In spite of his misbehavior, he was a good dog and they loved him unconditionally. The scene when they got home from the doctors office after Jennifer's miscarriage when Marley was by her side was so sweet. So they did show moments of him being sweet and lovable.
sharethere's no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners. But yea I was going to make a thread pointing out what this movie does poorly. The owners are terrible dog owners that never trained their dog. They basically blame the dog but love it so much, because I think they understand they never gave the dog the proper attention it deserved but it was a big part of the family. I think it's the way to make it work, you never realize just how important that loved one really is to you until they're gone. Just how great they were and how much they meant to you.
It really hits your emotion, which I don't think it would be as deep if they were really good owners.
