This movie lost me when she decided to have sex with the donor, instead of just turkey basting the sperm. Did she think that was how it was going to work that the donor clinic too? I mean, we never get an explanation to why, or if, she would be rejected to receive donor sperm. Why did she give up on doing it the legit way? Could not take this "contrived" love story.

she knew that her husband would never accept the idea of donor sperm, and the doctor was unwilling to do it without his participation. i wasn't the biggest fan of this movie and agree that it comes off a little contrived, but certainly the fact that she was willing to go outside her marriage for whatever reason shows that she was not fulfilled in her marriage (for whatever reason).
