This got really mixed reviews when it came out and made no money, but seems to have a pretty solid cult following
I mean, it has a 3.6 rating on Letterboxd. They recently had a reunion on YouTube as well.
shareI ran across it randomly on Netflix last night and decided to give it a watch. I had never even heard of it before.
It's a fun, charming film. I love how Rob Reiner brings the late-50s/early-60s to life and the leads are perfectly cast.
I think we all remember our young flirtations and early experiences with love and the film does a good job of encapsulating those experiences. It also is a reminder that life in general was once simpler before we got overwhelmed by technology and cynicism.
